Moneyball
No spoilers I promise.
My wife and I watched Moneyball last night. I highly recommend you watch this if you have not seen it. Yes it has something do with baseball but really it's about a guy, well a couple of guys, trying to change the way an entire industry sees individual potential.
I didn't see it as a heart-felt movie, I saw it as a charismatic leader trying to inspire his team with an extremely uninspiring premise. I'm not giving away the premise here, don't worry. It's a true story too if you aren't into baseball.

Food for thought: vampire crazy
Why do some love vampires so much? I think I have an idea. Vampires don't die. They don't experience an afterlife. Life after death is our world's greatest mystery. It is a great unknown. One which is also attributed to the livings' greatest fears. So a vampire immune to natural death virtually never gets a chance experience death and an afterlife. Personally, being a vampire mostly sounds like it sucks. No pun intended.
Musicovery: Freelance Whales
I made a musicovery with the band called Freelance Whales on an album entitled Weathervanes (2009) a couple of weeks back. They've got this The Postal Service feel to it, lots of synthesized music. My buddy calls the synthesized keys "chiptune". The first song I wanted to introduce you to is called "Starring". You can listen to it in Spotify which I highly recommend you install if you like free, legal streamed music. Or you can maybe find it on YouTube.
The second song by Freelance Whales, and currently my favorite this month of February is "Hannah". The pop influenced lyrics are catchy and vocals are harmonizing. You can't beat the instrumentals which include chiptunes as well. This is definitely on my repeat list for this month. I hope they come to San Diego I'll be wanting to see them just as badly as The Naked and the Famous.

Why now?
It's been two years since I stopped blogging so why now? What possible reason do I have for continuing to post utter nonsense on the Web; as if someone would hear me. Well, I do it for myself. And I've realized that I like to write, I needed to write but stopped because I didn't see the importance in it. I think it's a healthy outlet for one misguided, introverted, potentially explosive person as myself to put my voice out there regardless if this tree falls in the woods and no one hears it.
Back when I was heavily into blogging; when I wrote at least twice a week. I re-read my post dozens of times. Sometimes I would like to roll back a year to date and see what I was thinking. I miss that and I plan to continue that here. So where's my old posts? Gone... deleted into the ether. I wanted to start fresh. I've changed... I'm constantly changing. It's one of the great mysteries about myself I'll never understand. So I want to remove that footprint for new ones to leave their mark.
"That's what I do!" is something I say when I've done something right, it doesn't happen often but I feel more like myself when I've done something right. So I plan on doing some good here in my blog. No I'm not talking about moral exposition (well maybe a little) but I'm talking about an expression of ideas from my soul. Maybe it will connect with you, maybe it won't. I plan on keeping it fun and light. I don't have a solid plan of how this house will look, but brick by brick I'll lay it down. Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it.
